Mountains of Grace

They say that all things must come to an end, even good things. I definitely was not ready for the end of Steven Vetterlein’s narrative, Mountains of Grace, Return to Hutsulshchyna. Maybe some day he will give us a postscript for this website. Steve had been motivated to do something by a video he saw on a Canadian TV station.

He is doing more than just something. Like the other authors represented here he is modest about what he does, feeling that it’s not enough.

You will enjoy his bicycle ride across Europe from Paris on the way to Ukraine. You will enjoy the people, places and things he tells us and shows us about. Sure, he was tired when he left Lviv for the return trip back to Philadelphia and he was ready to come home.

In the comfort of my living room I wasn’t ready to come home. Steve, you are so very right – you shouldn’t have given up on your adoption idea back in 2000. I have to wonder what has happened to that child.
