We made it! We started as far east in Ukraine as we could
go, the Luhansk Region and we traveled as far north as we could go and as far south.
Our final stop was the Zakarpatty
Region, as far west as we could go. We've seen alot of things; dances, festivals, visited kitchens, waded in the Black
Sea, dunked ourselves in freezing water, and visited many villages, towns and cities.
I hope you enjoyed the journey.
Before we leave let me tie some ends together - you are invited to the kitchen for some of Ukraine's
national dish - Borsch. Remember the campers along side the river? They were being served borsch and the man was putting a
generous dallop of sour cream on each serving. It couldn't be better.
Do you remember Elena Filatova dot com
at the Chernobyl stop - she sent me a hand written family favorite borsch recipe and it is excellent eating I promise.
It's posted in the World's Best Borsch kitchen. Also, there is a vegeterian borsch shared by Dr. Oksana who brought
it with her to the US from Lviv - her grandmother's recipe. Most delightful.
As soon as I can fill in the gaps in Natalya's billashe demonstration it will
be there also. I'm thinking it would be an excellent complement to Dr. Oksana's borsch.
I've enjoyed this trip to Ukraine with you, but to tell the truth my cash
is running short and I better click on the Home page so I can head home and be able to come back again. There might be
some new things.
Do Pobachenya and happy travels. Thanks, David
